Our Story: A Short Workation to a Global Travel Community

The Offsite started as a project in the autumn of 2020 when, as you know, almost everyone was working alone from home and spending way too long in their bedroom or makeshift office.

This situation sparked a thought in me: maybe "working from home" doesn't actually mean you need to be "at home"? Acting upon this idea, I organised a short 2 week workation in Lisbon for remote workers. This small trip eventually ended up lasting 5 weeks!

To say we LOVED this coliving experience is an understatement. We also discovered that we were all more productive than at home because we were in a new environment and surrounded by inspiring people with plenty of opportunities to network, explore and have fun in warmer climates with stunning weather. And just like that, The Offsite was born!

Since then we've run 20+ coliving trips around the world, from Sweden to Mexico, Morocco and Indonesia. We've made new friends in the lineup, laughed under starry desert skies and danced in the sun. We've experienced new cultures, foods and traditions and felt grateful for each moment – all while being part of an amazing community.

Connection Adventure Community

The Offsite has since evolved into a travelling community of likeminded individuals who are self-motivated but fully aware that life is more than just a laptop screen.

Our central pillars are Connection, Adventure and Community. And we pride ourselves on finding the perfect balance between them. We believe that deep connections are formed through shared experiences, adventures create unforgettable memories and a strong community brings support, encouragement and inspiration in your personal life (and at the desk)!

Most of all, we aim to show you that a promising career and a fulfilling life can coexist in harmony, and that you don't have to sacrifice one for the other. With The Offsite, you can have both while experiencing some of the most amazing countries and cultures the world has to offer.

Life’s too short. Go Offsite!
